  • Author: Mery
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Description

This soothing Lemon Balm Tea is a natural remedy for belly fat and bloating. Made with fresh or dried lemon balm leaves, lemon slices, and optional metabolism-boosting ingredients like ginger and cinnamon, it’s a calming, detoxifying brew that’s both delicious and health-supportive. Great for digestion, stress relief, and weight loss goals, this herbal tea is quick to prepare and easy to customize to your taste and wellness needs.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dried lemon balm (or 2 tablespoons fresh lemon balm leaves)

  • 23 lemon slices

  • ½ teaspoon grated ginger (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional – add after tea cools slightly)

  • 1 cup (250 ml) hot water (just under boiling, 90°C / 194°F)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 cinnamon stick (enhances fat-burning and insulin response)

  • A few mint leaves (aids digestion, adds cooling flavor)

  • A pinch of turmeric (reduces inflammation, supports liver function)

Instructions

  • Measure Your Ingredients:
Gather all ingredients. Use one tablespoon of dried lemon balm (or two tablespoons fresh). Slice lemon and grate ginger if using.

  • Heat the Water:
Boil water, then let it cool slightly to about 90°C (194°F) to preserve the delicate oils in lemon balm.

  • Steep the Tea:
Place lemon balm, lemon slices, and any optional add-ins into a tea infuser or mug. Pour hot water over, cover, and steep for 7 to 10 minutes.

  • Sweeten and Serve:
Strain the tea. Let it cool slightly before adding honey if desired. Enjoy warm.

Notes

  • For best results, use filtered water and organic herbs to avoid pesticide residues.

  • This tea can be consumed up to twice a day for digestion and bloating relief.

  • Adjust add-ins to your flavor preferences and health goals.

  • To make a larger batch, multiply the ingredients accordingly and store in a thermos for later sipping.
